If you’ve merely upgraded your hard-drive in your pc, or are considering moving Apex Legends INSTALL LOCATION to your SSD, then you’ll need to move the installation folder entirely. You can’t do that manually, as you’ll need to tell Origin where the new directory is.
Thankfully, this can be a simple method and also the possibility is already there inside the Origin game launcher. While we haven’t tested this ourselves, the steps should still work.
Below, you’ll find our quick guide for changing the install location for Apex Legends, as well as moving it to a different drive. If you would like to ascertain out some additional guides for the game, you’ll see our dedicated area here, or check the bottom of this post!
MOVE Apex Legends INSTALL LOCATION
Open up Origin, head to the ‘My Game Library’ and select ‘Apex Legends’. You’ll be taken to the game screen, however, don’t press play.
Instead, open the settings area. You’ll do that by pressing the little cog icon placed next to the play button. From there, select the ‘Move Game’ option located at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
In the window that pops up, select the new folder where you would like to move the game too. This might be a comparatively slow method; however once it’s done, Apex Legends is ready to play again from your new drive!
