Fallout 76 features a pacifist mode that may be switched on or off. What this does, is stops you from assaultive other players and damaging them, basically disabling PvP for your character.

As it’s known as pacifist mode though, meaning that other players will still attack you and kill you. It’s a lot more robust though, as your resistances are massively accumulated. You’ll be able to typically out-heal any damage is taken and run/fast travel away.

We might even see an update within the future that permits you to disable PvP altogether. For currently though, pacifist mode is the best we’ve got. You’ll be able to read our quick guide below for enabling the mode, while we’ve got a couple of additional guides for Fallout 76.

Open the Game Settings

Near the bottom, you’ll see ‘Pacifist Mode.’ Prefer to either enable it or disable it. My option is greyed out on the image below because of being level 4.

Enable pacifist mode

If you’ve switched it on, don’t forget that other players will still attack you. They will merely do massively reduced damage permitting you to survive.
